Why Incorporating Bluff as a Town Will Keep it "Bluff"

Austin Cope

Though many people may consider Bluff as a town, it is actually not formally considered a town. It has a few special districts that make decisions for the area, but the unincorporated community does not have a mayor or town council.

A group of Bluff residents known as the Bluff Incorporation Committee is hoping to change that. This year’s ballots will ask the approximately 170 people who live in the proposed town area whether to incorporate as a town. A “yes” vote would move the town towards creating a 5-person town council (4 delegates and a mayor).

To talk more about this issue, KSJD’s Austin Cope spoke with Bluff resident Brant Murray, co-chair of the Bluff Incorporation Committee.
