According to Great Outdoors Colorado, American kids only spend an average of four to seven minutes per day outside, diminishing their connection to nature and the environment. KSJD's Tom Yoder spoke with Ellen Shinkle, Coordinator for the Montezuma Inspire Coalition, about the importance of kids spending more time outdoors, and how the organization is seeking to provide youth in Montezuma County with opportunities to get outside.
