Fort Lewis College in Durango has been recognizedby the Chronicle of Higher Education for producing the nation’s top number of Fulbrightscholars. The college is tied with the U.S. Naval Academy in the ranking, and listed ahead of colleges like Bowdoin, Hampshire, and Middlebury for the "Scholars" category. Three of Fort Lewis’s professors are teaching and working on projects abroad, in places as far apart as Austria, the Galapagos Islands, and Norway. To learn more about what the Fulbright program is and the effect it has on education and the world, KSJD's Austin Cope talked to Dr. Tino Sonora, Professor of Economics and liaison for Fort Lewis College's Fulbright program.
