Threats Shut Down Forest Service Offices Tuesday

Wikimedia Commons

The U.S. Forest Service Office in Fort Collins, Colorado, was among six U.S. Department of Agriculture offices nationwide that were closed temporarily Tuesday because of threats.

The Denver Post reports that the USDA, which oversees the Forest Service, announced it had implemented the closures after receiving several anonymous threats to its facilities and personnel in eight agencies, including the Forest Service and Food Safety and Inspection Services. The other closures were in the East.
