Chewing tobacco is known to be strongly associated with a number of major health problems, including oral cancers, high blood pressure, and gum disease. KSJD's Tom Yoder talks with Meggie Curtis, Youth Programming Coordinator with the School Community Youth Collaborative, and Midge Kirk, Health Educator and Tobacco Specialist with the Montezuma County Public Health Department, about how local youth are highlighting the problems associated with chew, the upcoming "Through With Chew" week, and how people who use smokeless tobacco can get help to quit.
