Budget cuts of more than $1.1 million will mean laying off a dozen employees of San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico.
The Daily-Times reports four faculty, two administrators and six other positions are on the chopping block. Higher-education funding is being cut 5 percent statewide for the coming year, while in the past year, the college has reportedly lost about 7 percent of its state funding.
