The Navajo Nation government has reaffirmed its opposition to Utah’s Public Lands Initiative, a federal bill intended to thwart the designation of the Bears Ears National Monument in San Juan County, Utah.

On October 14th, a tribal-council committee voted 13 to 0 to oppose the PLI. This is reportedly the tribe’s final vote on the measure.
