Mar 8, 2018

A group of about 20 non-profits in and around Montezuma County, known as the Montezuma Inspire Coalition, has received almost two million dollars from Great Outdoors Colorado.

It’s a grant that’s intended to promote programs that will encourage kids to spend time outdoors. The coalition has recently hired two employees to coordinate the grant implementation.

KSJD's Austin Cope spoke with Montezuma Inspire Coalition Coordinator Ami McAlpin, and School-based Outdoor Learning Labs coordinator Amy Hartline to learn more about the grant and how they plan to direct it.
