Representatives of the Cortez-based “Mesa TV” company told the Montezuma County commissioners Monday they would like to begin being paid for broadcasting the board’s meetings.

The company has been airing the day-long meetings live for free for the past year. They asked for $800 a month for the service or $1,000 to show meetings of the county planning commission as well. The commissioners sounded supportive of the request and said they would give an answer in January.
