A 47-year-old Telluride resident died Sunday in the Bear Creek area outside the Telluride ski area. The Denver Post reports that Gabriel Wright had been snowboarding with two friends near the Nellie Mine but failed to follow them down a hill. They returned and found him unresponsive. Preliminary indications are that he might have hit a rock hidden under the snow and been thrown onto a log.
