Lower Dolores River Should Reach 2000 CFS by Next Week, 4000 CFS in Early May

Flows in the Dolores River are set to reach optimum boating levels on Tuesday.

Operators of McPhee Dam say releases should continue at 1100 to 1900 cubic feet per second for the next few days, then ramp up to around 2000 cfs, ideal for rafting, early next week. Flows will likely stay at that level a week or so, then peak at 4000 cfs May 4th through 6th. However, these projections may change depending on weather.
