Lebanon Road Closure Will Last Until October 23rd, CDOT says

Colorado Department of Transportation

If your commute involves turning onto Lebanon Road from Highway 491 just north of Cortez, be prepared to detour onto Road L for the next few weeks.

A news release from the Colorado Department of Transportation says that Lebanon Road, also known as County Road 25, will be closed at the turnoff to Carpenter Natural Area from Wednesday, October 5th until approximately October 23rd. Traffic turning from the highway onto Lebanon Road will be re-routed one mile north onto Road L.

Access to Carpenter Natural Area will still be allowed, and traffic traveling from Lebanon Road onto the highway will also be able to go through.

Workers are rebuilding the intersection so Lebanon Road will have crosswalks and travel perpendicular to Highway 491, according to the release. CDOT says these changes are expected to make the intersection safer.
