An Evening of Jazz with Bob Newnam & Friends

With so many talented musicians in the Four Corners area, it was only a matter of time before several of them organized a collaborative concert. An Evening of Jazz with Bob Newnam & Friends will take the stage at the Montezuma-Cortez High School Auditorium on February 21st to showcase 14 different vocalists and musicians who play horns, guitars, piano, flute, drums and more. KSJD's Tom Yoder talks with Bob Newnam, local flugelhorn player and leader of the group who will perform, and Joyce Stevenson, board president at Southwest Colorado Concerts, who is sponsoring the event, about who will be performing, how they chose the repertoire, and why its important to bring jazz to the Four Corners area.
