A man allegedly involved in a domestic incident triggered a two-hour lockout on the first day of school in Dolores Tuesday.
During a lockout, the perceived threat is outside the school, and normal activities continue inside. However, no one can enter or leave school grounds. The Journal reports the lockout was implemented around 8:30 a.m. after the suspect reportedly took a gun and ran out of a Dolores trailer park where he had been involved in a dispute. He reportedly did not come near the campus and the lockout was lifted when he was believed to be no longer in the vicinity. Parents were notified about the incident by phone or email.
