City of Cortez Says to Leave Newspaper Out of Recycling For Now

The City of Cortez will temporarily stop accepting newspaper in its recycling program. City of Cortez Recycling manager Colby Earley says the decision is based on fluctuating market prices and China’s decision to stop accepting recycling from the United States. He says the City will reevaluate its decision if markets stabilize in the future. The City has further information on its website.
