CDOT Will Replace Old Dolores River Bridge Near Bedrock

Colorado Department of Transportation

The Colorado Department of Transportation will begin work Monday on a $4 million project to remove the 54-year-old Dolores River Bridge on Colorado Highway 90 about four miles east of Bedrock and 15 miles east of the Utah-Colorado state line.

Construction is set to continue through the summer. The Dolores River Bridge is one of 10 remaining intact steel through-truss bridges in the state and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. CDOT says it may be relocated for use as a pedestrian and bike path structure.
